Beyond Keywords: Introducing the Findborg Find Engine

A conceptual image depicting a stylized brain or human hand interacting with glowing digital circuits or a network of data, symbolizing the fusion of human and AI intelligence. It should feel modern, clean, and forward-looking.

Findborg introduces its Find Engine — explaining how community knowledge, Borg, and the open web work together to give you real results. Learn how TalkTags replace keywords and why Findborg is ad-free by design.

There is a version of the web that actually works for you. Where you find what you came for without wading through ads, SEO-stuffed filler, and results that clearly paid to be there. Where the people who know things — real local knowledge, real expertise, real answers — actually show up.

That is what we are building at Findborg. Not a better search engine. Something different. We call it a Find Engine.

Three Things. One Platform.

The Findborg Find Engine is built on three things working together:

  • The Hive — real people, real questions, real community knowledge. When you search on Findborg, you are not just querying an index. You are drawing on what people in your community have actually asked, discussed, and discovered.
  • Borg — our AI layer. Say “Hey Borg” and you get deep research, breakdowns, comparisons, and conversation. Not a chatbot bolted on top. A Find Engine mind built into the platform from the start.
  • The Open Web — editorial, magazine-style results across Web, Image, Video, and News tabs. No paid placements. No noise. The web as it should be.

When those three work together, you get something no search engine can offer: the web, filtered through human judgment, with Borg doing the heavy lifting on depth.

“I want to understand how the Findborg Find Engine combines community knowledge, AI through Borg, and web search to help me find real results without ads or paid placement.”

Introducing TalkTags: A Smarter Way to Connect

To make this work, we built something new: TalkTags.

TalkTags are not keywords. Keywords are the language of old-school SEO — short, fragmented, optimized for machines. TalkTags are the language people actually use when they are looking for something.

A TalkTag might look like this: “Where can I find the best seafood in Hernando County that is locally owned and not a chain?” That is a question a real person asks. TalkTags are vector-matched to that kind of natural language — which means when you search on Findborg, you are far more likely to find exactly what you meant, not just what you typed.

For businesses and publishers, TalkTags are how you show up. Not by buying an ad. By having a real, complete listing that actually matches what people are looking for. That is earned discoverability. That is the model.

Ad-Free by Design — and by Decision

Findborg is ad-free. That is not a feature. It is the foundation the whole platform is built on.

We want to tell you something about how we got here — because we think it matters. Early in development, we built a system that gave paid TalkTag tiers a small ranking boost. The logic seemed reasonable at the time: businesses investing more in the platform get a little extra visibility.

We tested it. We looked at the results. And we removed it.

Because when you look at it clearly, giving someone a ranking boost because they paid more is an ad. A subtle one, but an ad. It is exactly the thing we said we would not do. So we did not do it.

Every listing on Findborg starts at the same place. Verity — our integrity score — is earned through real signals: community engagement, content quality, accuracy, relevance. You cannot buy it. You can only earn it. That decision is on the record, and we think it is worth saying out loud.

Who Findborg Is For

There are two groups of people we are building for.

Searchers and discoverers — people who are done with ad-bloated results, AI-generated slop, and search engines that feel like they are working against them. Smart, frustrated people who have been looking for something better without knowing it existed.

Businesses and publishers — people who have real value to offer and are tired of paying Google to reach the people already looking for them. TalkTags give them a legitimate path to visibility based on what they actually provide, not how much they can spend.

Those two audiences need each other. That is the platform.

On the Ground Floor

We are in Public Beta. Our first user sat through a live demo, watched our spider pull 174 links in under a minute, submitted the first TalkTag, and made the first Hive post — asking where to find the best Chinese food in Hernando County.

Then he looked up and said: “We are on the ground floor of the next.”

That is what we are building. Come find it.

“Tell me about Findborg TalkTags — how they work as natural-language discovery tags for the Findborg Find Engine, and how they are different from traditional SEO keywords.”
