Just find some news on Findborg

Searching for information today often feels like trying to drink from a firehose. You type in a query, and suddenly you’re staring at millions of results—some from ten years ago, some that are just ads, and some that have nothing to do with what’s happening right now.

At Findborg, we’ve always believed that the Find engine should work for you, not the other way around. That’s why we are thrilled to announce a major update designed to cut through the noise: The News Tab.

What’s New?

When you visit the Find engine today, you’ll notice a sleek new addition to your search dashboard. Alongside our standard web and image tools, the News tab is now live.

By clicking this tab, the Find engine shifts its focus. Instead of scanning the entire history of the indexed web, it narrows its lens to high-quality, real-time journalism and reporting.

Why This Matters: Solving “Result Overload”

We’ve all been there: you’re trying to find out about a recent policy change or a product launch, but your search results are cluttered with old Wikipedia entries or forum posts from 2018. This is Result Overload—the paradox where having more information actually makes it harder to find the truth.

The News tab solves this by applying three specific filters to your query:

  • Temporal Relevance: It prioritizes what is happening now. If it happened five minutes ago, you’ll see it; if it happened five years ago, it stays in the general web search.
  • Source Authority: We’ve tuned our algorithm to highlight established news organizations, local reporting, and verified journals.
  • Clutter Reduction: By separating “static” information (like how-to guides) from “dynamic” information (like breaking events), we reduce the mental energy required to scan your results.

Key Benefits of the News Tab

FeatureHow it Helps You
Real-Time IndexingGet updates on breaking stories within seconds of publication.
Topic CategorizationAutomatically groups related articles so you can see different perspectives on the same story.
Less “Noise”Removes SEO-heavy blogs and advertisements that often mask real news.
Deep-Dive LinksEasily jump from a headline to a full-length investigative report.

How to Get Started

Using the new service is simple. Just head over to the Find engine, type in your query, and select the News tab at the top of the page. Whether you’re tracking global markets, looking for local sports scores, or keeping up with tech trends, you’ll get a curated view of the world as it stands today.

We built Findborg to make the internet feel smaller, smarter, and more manageable. With the News tab, we’re one step closer to a search experience that values your time as much as your curiosity.

Of course, this was written using AI so you can not believe everything it says. But, you get the gist. I have a news tab in the Find engine now and you can Find news stories if you use it. I will try to make it better as we go. Stay tuned for updates.
