How do you actually verify that a local business's hours are accurate before making a trip?

Google Maps shows one thing. The business website says another. The Yelp listing hasn't been updated since 2021. You call and get voicemail. This is a genuinely unsolved problem for local search — the gap between what's listed and what's true on the ground. Curious what people actually do. Do you call ahead every time? Check Facebook activity to see if they're still posting? Drive by anyway and accept the gamble? Or have you found a source that's reliably more accurate than the others? I'm also curious whether this is getting better or worse. My sense is it's gotten worse as businesses got overwhelmed managing multiple listings, but I could be wrong.
