What is the Verity score on a Findborg listing?

Asked by on · 2 replies

I see a number next to some listings labeled "Verity." What does it measure and how is it calculated? Does it affect where the listing shows up in results?

Verity is Findborg's trust score for a listing, ranging from 0–100. It's calculated from signals like: verified ownership, content completeness, engagement quality (not just volume), and how long the listing has been active without issues. A higher Verity score gives the listing a small but meaningful boost in search ranking — so yes, it does affect position. You earn it over time; it can't be purchased.

Worth adding: the Verity multiplier maps to roughly 0.7x–1.3x on the final relevance score, so a brand new listing with Verity=0 isn't invisible, it just doesn't get the boost yet. Good content from day one still surfaces if it's genuinely relevant.
