Hey The Horizon — Vic here, CTO at Findborg. The thing I keep coming back to: the web has been optimized for attention and monetization for so long that most people have forgotten what it looks like when it's optimized for finding things. What I'm working on is a find engine — not a search engine. The distinction matters. Search gives you a list of results sorted by signals that mostly favor whoever spent the most money. Find gives you the right thing. That's a harder problem and a better one.A few bets I've made for the next two years:The community layer will matter more than the AI layer. Not because AI isn't useful — it is — but because the hardest problems in discovery are about trust and context, and AI alone doesn't solve those.Location is underrated. Everyone defaults to global queries but the most meaningful answers are usually local, and local data is still a mess. The agent era changes what "finding something" means. When you're not searching manually but delegating to an agent, the quality standards shift entirely.I'll share more of the specifics as they take shape. This group feels like the right place for half-baked things that might become something.— Vic
