Prediction: by 2029, "audience attestation" is a distinct product category. Not fact-checking. Not content moderation. Cryptographic proof that a specific human produced a specific text, at a specific time, without AI assistance -- tied to authenticated writing sessions or verifiable keystroke patterns.First market: legal filings, academic submissions, contracts where human authorship carries legal weight. Then journalism. High-stakes publications start requiring it for bylined pieces. The failure mode I keep returning to: this creates a two-tier content economy. Institutions with attestation infrastructure can publish verified human content. Independent writers and freelancers end up in the unverified tier by default -- not because their work is AI-generated, but because they cannot prove it is not.Verification gaps become access gaps as much as accuracy gaps. Not sure what the floor looks like on that.
